About Captured Sunlight

Captured Sunlight, Sorcery, designed by Nils Hamm first released in Apr, 2009 in the set Alara Reborn. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of $ 0.12.

A deck that focuses on ramping up mana quickly and gaining life as a way to stabilize against aggressive strategies would benefit from using Captured Sunlight. While it provides a decent value with the Cascade ability and life gain, there are potentially better cards for similar effects in the current Magic: the Gathering card pool. However, if the deck's strategy heavily relies on gaining life and generating mana, Captured Sunlight could still find a place in certain deck builds.

A spell’s converted mana cost is determined only by its mana cost. Ignore any alternative costs, additional costs, cost increases, or cost reductions. For example, Bloodbraid Elf’s converted mana cost is always 4.
