Triskelion would be a great addition to a deck focused on dealing direct damage or controlling the board, especially in a deck that can generate additional +1/+1 counters or has ways to proliferate. While Triskelion's ability to deal damage can be useful for removing threats or finishing off opponents, there are other cards like Walking Ballista that offer similar effects with more flexibility and scalability, making them potentially better choices in certain situations. However, Triskelion could still see play in decks looking for a reliable source of repeatable damage or as a versatile threat on the battlefield.

If you activate the ability of an attacking or blocking Triskelion during the declare blockers step, it will deal less combat damage as a result. If you wait until the combat damage step, but Triskelion is dealt lethal damage, it’ll be destroyed before you get a chance to activate its ability.
