A deck that focuses on sacrificing or destroying its own creatures for value, such as a reanimator or sacrifice-based deck, would benefit from using Saw in Half. While it can create additional threats for the opponent, the potential to create weaker copies of powerful creatures can be strategically advantageous. However, there are better cards like Murder or Doom Blade that provide more efficient removal without the drawback of potentially benefiting the opponent, so Saw in Half may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.
