This Talisman of Dominance would be beneficial in decks that require both blue and black mana, such as Dimir control or Grixis midrange decks in Magic: the Gathering. While it provides flexibility in mana production, the drawback of dealing 1 damage to you can be significant in faster-paced matchups. Other options like the Signets or the Talismans that don't deal damage may be more optimal choices for mana acceleration, but Talisman of Dominance could still see play in decks that prioritize color fixing and flexibility over life total preservation.
