**Rebuke** is best suited for tempo or control decks that want to disrupt the opponent’s board development, especially decks that capitalize on delaying key threats or resetting buffed/high-cost units to regain momentum. It’s particularly strong in slower midrange-control builds that can use the bounce effect to stall aggressive pushes or remove a heavily invested unit during a showdown, buying time to stabilize or swing tempo. However, its value depends on the meta—if there are cheaper removal options, unconditional destruction effects, or bounce spells that also draw cards or add additional utility, those would generally be stronger since simple return-to-hand effects can lose value against low-cost or enter-the-battlefield synergy units.
