**Falling Comet** fits best in midrange or control decks that want flexible, unconditional removal to swing tempo in key battles, especially in slower Riftbound metas where 6 damage cleanly answers most mid‑to‑large units at a battlefield. Its strength is reliability and showdown flexibility, making it solid in decks that don’t rely heavily on synergy but value clean answers. However, aggressive decks will usually find 5 cost too slow, and dedicated control lists may prefer more efficient or broader removal if available (for example, a 4‑cost spell that deals 5 damage, a 5‑cost spell that deals 6 plus an extra effect like splash damage or card draw, or hard removal that destroys/exiles outright). If such alternatives exist in the card pool, they are generally better due to improved tempo or value.
