About Necrotic Plague

Necrotic Plague, Enchantment — aura, designed by Jaime Jones first released in Jul, 2010 in the set Magic 2011. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of ₱ 18.13.

This card would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures for value or reanimation strategies, such as a black sacrifice or graveyard recursion deck. While Necrotic Plague has its unique mechanics, there are more efficient cards like Animate Dead or Dance of the Dead that provide similar effects without the drawback of sacrificing the enchanted creature. Overall, Necrotic Plague may not see much play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks due to its high cost and potential downside, but it could be a fun and flavorful addition to casual or themed decks.

Necrotic Plague grants the sacrifice ability to the creature it’s enchanting. That means it triggers at the beginning of the upkeep of the creature’s controller (not necessarily Necrotic Plague’s controller).

The player that controls Necrotic Plague at the time the enchanted creature is put into a graveyard is the player who controls the last ability (even though that creature’s controller is the one who chooses its target). The first player returns Necrotic Plague to the battlefield under their control, regardless of whose graveyard it was put into. Note that the ability is mandatory; a target must be chosen if able, and Necrotic Plague must be returned to the battlefield if able.
