About Mistfire Adept
Mistfire Adept, Creature — human monk, designed by Clint Cearley first released in May, 2020 in the set Fate Reforged and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 2.36.
Mistfire Adept would be a great addition to a blue-based spell-slinging deck that focuses on casting a lot of noncreature spells to trigger its prowess ability and grant flying to other creatures. However, in competitive Magic: the Gathering, there are more efficient cards like Stormchaser Mage or Sprite Dragon that offer similar effects with better stats, making Mistfire Adept less likely to see play in top-tier decks.
Rules
11/24/14
Any spell you cast that doesn’t have the type creature will cause prowess to trigger. If a spell has multiple types, and one of those types is creature (such as an artifact creature), casting it won’t cause prowess to trigger. Playing a land also won’t cause prowess to trigger.
11/24/14
Prowess goes on the stack on top of the spell that caused it to trigger. It will resolve before that spell.
