About Quicken
Quicken, Instant, designed by Aleksi Briclot first released in Feb, 2006 in the set Guildpact and was printed exactly in 6 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 1.66.
Quicken can be a valuable addition to a control deck in Magic: the Gathering, allowing for unexpected plays and card advantage by enabling sorcery spells to be cast at instant speed. While Quicken has its uses, cards like Teferi, Time Raveler or Leyline of Anticipation may offer more versatile and consistent options for similar effects, making Quicken less likely to see play in competitive decks.
Rules
09/25/06
After Quicken resolves, you can Suspend a sorcery in your hand any time you can cast an instant. As soon as you actually cast a sorcery, you lose this capability.
02/01/06
You don’t choose a sorcery card when Quicken resolves. Rather, this sets up a rule that is true for you until the turn ends or until you cast a sorcery card, even if you cast that sorcery at a time you normally could.
