Spinerock Tyrant would fit best in a red spellslinger or Izzet (blue‑red) spells-matter deck that runs lots of single-target instants and sorceries—burn spells, pump spells, or combat tricks—because copying them doubles your value while turning damage into permanent -1/-1 counters via wither, making it especially strong against creature-heavy decks; it could also work in a Commander deck built around spell copying (like with Veyran, Voice of Duality or Kalamax, the Stormsire). That said, at five mana in mono-red, it competes with stronger and more efficient options like Goldspan Dragon (which generates immediate mana advantage and pressure), Storm-Kiln Artist (which produces Treasures for every instant/sorcery), or even Torbran, Thane of Red Fell in burn-heavy builds, all of which tend to have a bigger or faster impact; compared to these, Spinerock Tyrant is more build-around and situational, so while it could see play in a casual or synergy-focused spellslinger deck, it is unlikely to
