Riftbound: New Unleashed Legends - What Will Be Their Colors?

Recently, Riot confirmed 6 of the first 12 legends featured in the new set, which is called Unleashed. We'll try to guess their colors as well as the other 6 Legends based on the artwork shown at the GAMA Expo 2026.

Let's start with the most confusing Legend out of these six. Rengar is clearly a red Legend, but his artwork doesn't point to any other color, unlike the other Legends.

Flavor-wise, it makes more sense to make him red and orange because he is beefy. However, he can be red and yellow, considering that Vi's background is also orange.

Personally, I don't believe Rengar fits yellow. However, everything points to him being yellow if Vi is orange. It's up to Riot to make this decision make sense, flavor-wise, like they did with some LoR champions. One such example is Nidalee, which is a Shuriman unit in LoR. She is canonically from Ixtal, which is close to the Shuriman desert but is completely different in terms of design and aesthetic.

Please note that there are yellow sparks in this Rengar artwork. They're small, but they could be a sign that he is yellow.

This Master Yi comes with a yellow background, but he is almost entirely surrounded by green. It's the second time he comes as a Legend, and it's the first time in the history of the game that we get another version of a Legend.

It seems like he'll lean more towards control, considering the yellow background. Currently, green and yellow are dominated by Azir, which is quite unique. We're all anxious to see what Riot has in store for Yi in set 3 because he'll certainly be quite unique too.

This Diana comes with purple details, so she is all but confirmed as the next blue/purple Legend.

She will instantly become quite popular precisely because purple decks are quite strong and popular nowadays as well.

Ezreal lists play lots of strong cards that aren't tied to a specific archetype, so it's easy to imagine these cards seeing play with another purple/blue Legend with a better effect than Ezreal's. In competitive matches, we often only use Ezreal's effect one or two times, so we can expect Diana to take his place once the new set comes out. We'll have to wait and see if she's good, though.

We can certainly imagine Vi is red and yellow, but the artwork above clearly shows her against an orange background.

In any case, we'll have to wait for Riot to confirm it. My guess is that she is red and yellow, and Rengar is red and orange.

To the right and close to the center, we can see a small green mark in the background above. This could be a sign Vex is green and purple.

Keep in mind we already have Vex as a purple champion. This card in particular became a lot more expensive because of Alanzq, who brought her to several regional tournaments alongside Ezreal and performed really well. His list plays 3 copies of Vex - Cheerless.

My guess is that this new Legend could have something to do with effects that discount or increase the cost of spells, just like Vex - Cheerless. This Vex is almost entirely purple, just like her champion card.

Last, but not least, we have Pyke, the most anticipated Legend in this set. He is also all but confirmed as red and purple.

Currently, this is the most powerful color combination in the game. It was one of the strongest color combinations in set 1 because of Annie, who shared the spotlight with Kai'Sa. Now, Draven is, by far, the strongest and most popular Legend in the game.

Pyke might not take Draven's place because Draven's effect is incredibly simple and powerful. Pyke would have to match his power level or even surpass it.

So, this Pyke might be completely unique and bring us a new "closed" archetype, just like Azir is unique and centers around green and yellow and Rek'Sai centers around red and yellow.

My bet for set 3 is that Draven will remain strong, and Pyke, unfortunately, will be a tier-2 or tier-3 character.

We'll have to wait for the other 6 Legends. Poppy and LeBlanc are rumored to be revealed next.

For this set we are still missing the following color combinations:

Calm & Mind

Mind & Fury

Mind & Order

Chaos & Body

Body & Order

Calm & Body

LeBlanc might be Mind & Order, and Poppy might be Calm & Mind or even Calm & Body. Nothing about these two characters has been confirmed, though.
