Riftbound: Baron Nashor Artwork Might Have Spoiled Set 3

The Baron Nashor reveal might have spoiled the next Unleashed legends for us.

Before we discuss the new card itself, please note that Baron Nashor is the first non-champion unit to get an alternative artwork.

The first thing we can bring up is that it could possibly come as a champion and get a legend card in the same way the Elder Dragon is a champion in Legends of Runeterra. And that's why Baron got an alternative artwork. But this is just a guess.

Please note that this set is inspired by League of Legends' Jungle, so it would be the perfect set to give us a Jungle boss as a legend.

This is also the first unit in the game that creates an extra battlefield in play, which really goes with purple as a color because this color often "breaks the rules of the game".

In the background of Baron's alternative artwork, we can see Kha'Zix. This makes a lot of sense because Rengar will come in Set 3.

Rengar and Kha'Zix could be a sort of "warm-up" for Set 4, as it is named Vendetta and probably themed after revenge. They really go with this theme, but Kha'Zix might come before, in set 3.

Right up front, we can see Ashe, who usually doesn't have anything to do with League of Legends' Jungle, but she could come in this set.

Out of these two, I believe she probably won't come now because she doesn't really fit the main theme of the set. I can't really think of which colors she would be because she doesn't particularly lean in any direction. In any case, considering this is Riot we're talking about, she could come anyway.

Out of all of these, Kha'Zix really fits Chaos Body, but he could also be Fury and Mind.

As for Ashe, she is a bit more difficult, but she could be Calm Mind, just like Ornn, or even Mind Order.

Keep in mind that 6 out of the 12 legends are yet to be revealed. Poppy and LeBlanc can also come as legends, but they haven't been confirmed.

Keep an eye out because, as more cards are revealed, we'll go through each one, review them, and build new decks with Set 3.
