**Prismatic Undercurrents** fits best in 3–5 color midrange, ramp, or “good‑stuff” Commander decks that reliably control multiple colors early, since the Vivid trigger can refill your hand with several basic lands while the extra land drop converts that into real tempo; it’s especially solid in budget multicolor builds that lean heavily on basics rather than fetch/dual manabases. However, in most optimized formats there are stronger options: **Exploration** and **Burgeoning** are cheaper for extra land drops, **Azusa, Lost but Seeking** and **Dryad of the Ilysian Grove** provide additional upside, and **Cultivate**, **Kodama’s Reach**, or **Skyshroud Claim** put lands directly onto the battlefield rather than into hand.
