Rimefire Torque would fit best in a tribal deck that consistently floods the battlefield with creatures of a single type—such as Merfolk, Humans, Wizards, or Faeries—especially in a blue-based spellslinger shell that wants to copy impactful instants and sorceries like draw spells, extra turn spells, or efficient interaction; it’s particularly appealing in slower Commander (EDH) builds where repeated creature entries (including token generators) can reliably stockpile charge counters over time. However, at two mana plus the need for three creature ETBs and a tap before getting a single copy, it’s fairly slow compared to stronger and more immediate options like Twinning Staff (which passively enhances all copy effects and can copy spells for {7}), Lithoform Engine (which copies spells or abilities with more flexibility), or classic Fork effects and Thousand-Year Storm in dedicated spellslinger decks; even Reflections of Littjara or Kindred Discovery may provide more consistent tribal val
