About Soilshaper
Soilshaper, Creature — spirit, designed by Thomas M. Baxa first released in Oct, 2004 in the set Champions of Kamigawa. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 5.75.
This card would be beneficial in a Spirit or Arcane tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering, where you can consistently cast Spirit or Arcane spells to turn your lands into creatures for attacking or blocking. However, there are better cards like Rampaging Baloths that provide a more powerful effect by creating 4/4 Beast creature tokens whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control. While Soilshaper can be a fun and thematic inclusion in a Spirit or Arcane deck, it may not be as competitive as other options available in the format.
Rules
08/01/08
A noncreature permanent that turns into a creature can attack, and its abilities can be activated, only if its controller has continuously controlled that permanent since the beginning of their most recent turn. It doesn’t matter how long the permanent has been a creature.
