Riot Games has news to Runeterra Asian players

On January 19, they'll merge the Asian and Southwest Asian shards (servers)

The new shard will be listed as APAC in the game

That stands for Asia-Pacific

According to Riot, the process will be smooth, with no action needed by the players

After the merge, they expect the queue times for PvP modes to be much shorter

The company also guarantees that this won't change the prices of ingame items

Except for the match story, all player data will be preserved

Rank / Master Rank LP, MMR, Prime Glories, The Path of Champions progress, and personal Collections are also going to be maintained

As for the future tournaments, the Asia and SEA shard Seasonal Tournaments are also going to be merged into a single one

There are no planned merges for other shards at the moment
