La capacità di mettere segnalini +1/+1 su più creature può rapidamente potenziare la loro forza e resistenza, rendendole più minacciose sul campo di battaglia. Anche se potrebbero esserci altre carte con effetti simili, la versatilità di Sweet-Gum Recluse con flash e cascata la rende un forte contendente per i mazzi che cercano di invadere il campo di gioco con creature e potenziarle per un attacco potente. Questa carta potrebbe sicuramente essere giocata nella strategia di mazzo giusta.
