On Monday night (29), Wizards of the Coast announced its partnership with developer Crypton Future Media to bring virtual singer Hatsune Miku to the Magic: The Gathering universe through the Secret Lair series.

The Sakura Superstar drop is the first of four products that will be part of the partnership between the two brands, with launches occurring every season of 2024, with six cards whose illustrations represent different versions of the singer.

The product will be available for pre-order between May 13th and June 2nd in English and Japanese at US$29.99 for the non-foil bundle and US$39.99 for the rainbow foil bundle.

This is not the first time that Hatsune Miku and Magic came together to run a campaign: in 2022, a partnership between both brands took place to promote the Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty set, whose theme was inspired by Japanese folklore with a cyberpunk aesthetic, with a music video of the singer set in its world.
