About Lashwrithe

This card would benefit a deck that focuses on controlling the board with a high number of Swamps, as the equipped creature gets a power boost for each Swamp controlled. While Lashwrithe can be a strong addition to a mono-black control deck, there are potentially better options like Batterskull or Sword of Feast and Famine that offer more versatile abilities and impact on the game. However, Lashwrithe could still see play in a specific Swamp-heavy build looking to overwhelm opponents with a large, boosted creature.

The Germ token enters the battlefield as a 0/0 creature and the Equipment becomes attached to it before state-based actions would cause the token to die. Abilities that trigger as the token enters the battlefield see that a 0/0 creature entered the battlefield.
