Renegade Game Studios is an American tabletop publisher founded in 2014 by Scott Gaeta. The company became especially visible through licensed games built around recognizable entertainment properties, while also developing original board games, card games, roleplaying games, and family titles. Its catalog is notable because it treats licensed settings as substantial game systems rather than merely decorative themes. One of Renegade’s best-known releases is Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid, a cooperative miniatures board game based on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television franchise. Players control Rangers defending Angel Grove against recurring villains, and the game uses character miniatures, location boards, dice, and a shared card-driven system. Renegade subsequently expanded that relationship with the Power Rangers Roleplaying Game and the Power Rangers Deck-Building Game, creating separate tabletop interpretations of the property. Vampire: The Masquerade Rivals is a competitive card game in which players lead vampire clans, manage influence, and oppose rival players in a struggle for control. The game is distinct from the Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop roleplaying game, although both draw from the same setting. Beyond licenses, Renegade has published original and independently developed designs, including The Search for Planet X, a deduction game by Foxtrot Games, and The Fox in the Forest, a two-player trick-taking game by Joshua Buergel. It has also released titles connected to established tabletop properties, such as the deck-building game adaptation of The Quest for El Dorado.
