Deny Reality kan een waardevolle toevoeging zijn aan een controle- of tempodeck in Magic: the Gathering, omdat het zowel verstoring veroorzaakt door een permanent terug te geven aan de hand van de eigenaar als een kaartvoordeel via Cascade. Er zijn echter potentieel betere opties beschikbaar, zoals Cryptic Command of Mystic Confluence, die meer veelzijdigheid en onmiddellijke impact op het bord bieden. Deny Reality ziet misschien spelen in meer casual of budgetdecks, maar competitieve decks kunnen kiezen voor krachtigere en flexibelere opties.

A spell’s converted mana cost is determined only by its mana cost. Ignore any alternative costs, additional costs, cost increases, or cost reductions. For example, Bloodbraid Elf’s converted mana cost is always 4.

The converted mana cost of a modal double-faced card in exile is that of its front face. If the last card you exile is a modal double-faced card, you may only cast the back face if the resulting spell would also have a lesser converted mana cost than the spell with cascade.
