A deck that focuses on -1/-1 counters and sacrificing creatures would benefit from using Soulstinger, as it can help weaken opposing creatures while potentially growing stronger itself upon death. However, there are more efficient cards like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons or Nest of Scarabs that generate more -1/-1 counters consistently and provide additional value. Soulstinger could see play in a casual or themed deck, but in competitive settings, there are better options available.
