The hexproof ability provides excellent protection against targeted removal spells, while the ability to create defender tokens can help to stall the board. However, there are more powerful planeswalkers available in the same mana cost range, such as Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, which offers more versatile abilities and a faster clock for closing out the game. Overall, Teyo could see play in a budget or casual deck, but may not be the optimal choice for competitive play.
