A deck that focuses on creatures with high power and wants to control the board by removing opposing creatures with even higher power would benefit from playing Fell the Mighty. This card can be particularly effective in a deck that aims to have a dominant creature on the battlefield and wants to clear the way for it to attack. However, there are other similar cards like Cleansing Nova or Wrath of God that offer more flexibility by also destroying other types of permanents, making them potentially better choices depending on the overall strategy of the deck. Fell the Mighty could still see play in specific creature-heavy metas or decks looking for a more targeted removal option.

If the target creature is an illegal target when Fell the Mighty tries to resolve, Fell the Mighty won’t resolve and none of its effects will happen. No creatures will be destroyed.

Use the power of the target creature as Fell the Mighty resolves to determine which creatures are destroyed. Fell the Mighty doesn’t target any of those creatures, so a creature with hexproof or protection from white will be destroyed if its power is high enough.
