Introduction

Today, we'll show you how to play Miracle Sivir with Sivir Battle Mistress.

This deck centers around playing lots of cheap cards and putting them in the trash as fast as possible to discount the cost of Rhasa the Sunderer. Once he's in play, you'll start dominating the opponent.

Before we begin, however, let me introduce myself. My name is Total, and I used to cast Legends of Runeterra tournaments professionally. I covered all the official tournaments, including Worlds, and I am known for creating deck guides for LoR as well. Now, I am a part of the Riftbound community!

Miracle Sivir - Discounting the Cost of Everything

The main idea behind this deck is to draw lots of cards, disrupt the opponent, and fill your trash pile. Eventually, your Rhasa the Sunderer will be cheap enough to come into play. You'll even be able to play support spells in the same turn. Like so, you'll dominate the game, and always stay ahead in tempo.

Your units will be relatively weak early on, but this deck is full of purple control spells. With them, you'll win showdowns even if your units are not that strong in terms of stats. You'll be able to get points early on and also prevent your opponent from getting any.

Because of your Legend, you'll rarely run out of resources. You'll be able to get the cards you need for your combos quite easily. Eventually, you'll win the match by strangling your opponent. They won't have any answer for the amount of value you'll create on the board.

Legend - Sivir Battle Mistress

Sivir Battle Mistress is in two of the colors in the game nowadays. There are many purple cards that are incredible in competitive settings, like Ezreal - Prodigy and Fizz - Trickster, and the best combat trick in the game, Punch First, is orange.

Sivir's effect is a way to recycle runes virtually for free, as she creates a Gold Gear Token for you. This is incredible because, if you hoard enough Gold Gear Tokens, you can set up a very explosive turn.

She'll give you a huge advantage when you need to use power, but you'll still have to recycle your runes early on. As a result, you could get a little behind in resources compared to your opponents when you use energy. But this won't be a problem for this deck because nearly all cards in it are extremely cheap, including the main win condition.

Main Champion - Sivir - Mercenary

Sivir - Mercenary interacts directly with your Legend and also enables herself.

If you pay for her Accelerate cost, you'll already activate her passive effect and give her +2 Might and Ganking.

To do that, you'll recycle runes, and this, in turn, will activate your Legend's effect and give you an exhausted Gold Gear Token.

You'll typically use this unit to "reconquer" a battlefield or attack an enemy unit. If you destroy an enemy unit in the process, you can ready your Legend again, keep playing the combo, and create more Gold Gear Tokens.

This unit might seem strong, but it is a bit expensive. It usually comes into play at the end of the game and gives you your eighth point or attacks an enemy unit, as we mentioned before.

Considering how this deck works, it'll hardly come into play early because you must play many cards together to fill your trash pile. If you put Sivir - Mercenary in play on turns 2 or 3, you'll get a little behind.

However, you can do that if your hand is too clunky. This doesn't happen with this list often, but it is possible. Particularly, you might just not draw your Nocturne - Horrifying.

Battlefields

Zaun Warrens is your main battlefield. It interacts directly with Rhasa the Sunderer, but it also has another advantage: not all meta decks interact with discard effects. So, your opponent might not feel comfortable fighting for this battlefield with you depending on the matchup.

Minefield also interacts really well with this list, but it's a bit more extreme. You'll usually play this battlefield to lock down the opponent or only play it in your third match (in a best of 3). Treat this battlefield as a Zaun Warrens. The only difference is that it won't let you control your hand or the cards that go to the trash as much as that other battlefield. You might end up discarding your win conditions, but your opponent will do the same.

The Candelit Sanctum is great in this list. With it, you'll always draw good cards and thus will always be able to play your combos.

Main Cards

Early Game

Over half of this deck is cards you can play on the first few turns and will give you a direction when it comes to playing your combos.

The main ones are Stacked Deck, Called Shot, Traveling Merchant, and Ezreal - Prodigy.

All of these cards are ways to draw Rhasa the Sunderer or more cards that draw cards so that you can fill your trash pile even more and find all your Rhasa the Sunderer.

Scrapheap is perfect with Zaun Warrens. It is one of the best purple combos nowadays, in fact.

Overzealous Fan will prevent your opponent from scoring points early on and also interacts directly with Rhasa the Sunderer. Treasure Hunter will give you more Gold Gear Tokens so that you can play your combos.

Mid Game

You must play Rhasa the Sunderer in the mid game because he's your main win condition. He will either conquer or hold battlefields for you. To put all 3 copies of him in play and "strangle" your opponent, though, you'll have to play your combos.

Use Fizz - Trickster with him to get back a few key spells and keep controlling the match.

Nocturne - Horrifying might seem counterintuitive in this deck because usually we'll usually draw cards when we take a look at the top of our deck. However, Nocturne - Horrifying will help you stay ahead in tempo in critical moments, that is, when drawing cards wouldn't make that much of a difference.

Just drawing cards isn't enough, though. You must assess the board state and play Nocturne only when you need to put units in play. Keep in mind that your units are relatively weak compared to other units in the meta right now.

If you draw Nocturne - Horrifying, he'll be the perfect card to discard with Zaun Warrens or Traveling Merchant.

End Game

You'll use Last Rites to bring back your Rhasa the Sunderer from the trash pile. Equipping it to a Rhasa to bring back another Rhasa from the trash is a great strategy. You can also bring back Ezreal or Fizz if you need more resources.

Use Switcheroo to win combats later on and destroy your opponent's strategy. You can also use Sivir - Mercenary to get your eighth point or fight for a battlefield.

Matchups

This deck is very hit or miss. You can, theoretically, beat any deck in the meta, but you might as well loose too. That's why this is only a low tier-1 list or high tier-2 list in less experienced hands.

Unfortunately, you don't have great chances against Draven because the units in this list are bigger than yours, and they also play control tools to get points early on.

Kai'Sa can control your units, but you'll be faster. If you play lots of units on the board, like 3 Rhasa and some Nocturnes, you can strangle her. That's why, in this matchup, you must set up a very explosive turn. You only have one chance to win. If Kai'Sa destroys your units, you'll hardly be able to build your board back.

Against Annie, you'll also be behind in stats. However, unlike Kai'Sa, Annie doesn't remove your units directly, so it is a relatively easier matchup.

Because this is a purple deck, you'll struggle against green decks like Master Yi and Ahri. Their counters are just too efficient, and they also play a holding package early on.

You'll have an advantage against Ezreal because you'll be a lot faster and also because you won't play many targets for them. They need to target cards in play to activate their effects and draw cards, so they'll be in trouble against you.

We don't know much about the other matchups, but you'll usually have the advantage against yellow decks and other orange lists centered around units or equipment.

This deck can't deal with Aurora archetypes, though it plays a few cards for this matchup in the sideboard.

Important Tips and Sideboard

This sideboard will basically improve a few matchups and remove Gears.

Akshan - Mischievous and Rebuke are supposed to beat Aurora, but they disrupt your overall game plan and usually brick your hand. So, don't use them in other matchups. Even if you play the tools to deal with Aurora, this deck will always be behind against ramp lists.

Practically all cards in this sideboard are great replacements for Nocturne, considering many players don't like playing him. Ride the Wind and On the Hunt are great alternatives for him in any matchup.

Hard Bargain is efficient against red decks and green decks. It essentially lets you fight enemy spells.

Morbid Return is interesting against red decks, as they usually remove your Rhasa very easily.

Keep in mind that Punch First is a mid to late game card in this deck because it doesn't play enough orange runes to use it early on. Usually, you'll use the Gold Gear Tokens you create on this spell. You must set up this play one turn earlier, though, because you might not be able to play it.

Try not to use Ezreal - Prodigy in combats. His cost reduction effect is essential in this list, so keeping him in play is critical.
