Swift Demise would fit best in a Rakdos (black‑red) or Jund control/midrange deck built around repeatable ping or mass-damage effects—cards like End the Festivities, Pyroclasm, Goblin Sharpshooter, Pestilence, or any source that can spread 1 damage across the board—so you can reliably “mark” opposing creatures before casting it and turn it into a one‑sided board wipe. On its own, it’s inconsistent, since it only hits one creature unless you’ve already dealt damage to others, making it weaker than unconditional sweepers like Damnation or Toxic Deluge in black, or Blasphemous Act in red, which require no setup and are more reliable in competitive environments.
