This card, Hornswoggle, would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's creatures while ramping up mana with the Treasure token. However, there are better options available such as Mana Leak or Counterspell which provide more efficient and reliable creature countering. Hornswoggle could see situational play in decks looking for additional mana generation, but may not be a staple in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.
