In the world of Zendikar, ancient titans known as Eldrazi are awakening and threatening the land with their immense power. The planeswalkers, powerful beings who can travel between worlds, gather to face this existential threat. Players join the battle as different factions clash in an attempt to either summon powerful allies or harness the energy of the land itself to defeat the Eldrazi. One key mechanic featured in Battle for Zendikar is the landfall ability, which rewards players for playing lands by granting various bonuses when lands enter the battlefield. The set also introduces a new type of card called expeditions, which showcase some of the most iconic and powerful lands in the game with unique, alternate art versions. With a combination of strategic gameplay and rich storytelling, Battle for Zendikar offers players a thrilling adventure as they fight to save the plane from destruction.
