Avenging Angel would be a valuable addition to a control or midrange white deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing a resilient threat with its ability to return to the top of its owner's library upon death. While it offers a form of recursion, there are potentially better options like Sun Titan or Baneslayer Angel that offer more immediate impact or value. This has been restored as a triggered ability that triggers when it is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, rather than a replacement effect. The Angel does go to the graveyard, and will trigger any other abilities that look for this event.
