Introduction

Today, we'll discuss Miss Fortune Bounty Hunter. Today's list in particular got first place at the PPG Summit Orlando Saturday event, and is one of the best ways to build this Legend.

So, sit back, relax, and let us show you how to play Miss Fortune - Bounty Hunter (Body & Chaos).

This archetype is actually an alternative version of the many Aurora lists in the meta, like the Master Yi lists. Instead of centering around ramp and holding battlefields, this list exhausts the opponent's win conditions, discards cards from their hand, or ganks their battlefields. Eventually, it takes total control of the board and forces showdowns constantly.

This list in particular was created by Ali Aitrazi, who got first place at the PPG Summit Orlando event. The big prize was 10,000 US dollars.

Before we begin, however, let me introduce myself. My name is Total, and I used to cast Legends of Runeterra tournaments professionally. I covered all the official tournaments, including Worlds, and I am known for creating deck guides for LoR as well. Now, I am a part of the Riftbound community!

The main idea behind this list is to ramp as many runes we possibly can so that we can play Dazzling Aurora on turn 3 or 4. Once Dazzling Aurora is in play, this deck practically runs itself and creates a lot of value for free in a way the opponent can't answer.

This version in particular controls the opponent by disrupting their hand with purple/orange cards like Sabotage, Invert Timelines, and Mindsplitter.

It also plays one of the best removals in the game, Bullet Time. This is what actually makes it a great Aurora alternative and one of the best anti-Kai'Sa lists right now.

Legend - Miss Fortune Bounty Hunter

Miss Fortune Bounty Hunter is extremely simple and is in great colors. This list actually plays her a lot more for her colors than for her effect.

Namely, her effect gives ganking to a unit. It is very powerful, as we can use it to checkmate the opponent if we play it on a gigantic unit and gank an enemy battlefield.

We can also use this effect to conquer both battlefields on a single turn when we already have 7 points. That way, we win automatically.

Main Champion - Miss Fortune - Captain

Our main champion in the champion zone is Miss Fortune - Captain, a combo unit that can come into play ready and has an extremely powerful effect.

This card should help us end the game. It's perfect with our Legend's effect, as, whenever Miss Fortune - Captain moves, she lets us ready something else.

With Confront, we can use her effect to attack with a unit in play several times.

Unfortunately, using her effect in full is a bit difficult because, even though she is the cheapest unit in this list, she is a bit slow. That's because we need to put other cards in play to get 100% out of her effect.

So, she is not as powerful as she seems, but we'll inevitably use her in most of our matches. Usually, she'll show up later on, as she is essential to end the game.

Battlefields

Aspirant’s Climb is our best battlefield to deal with fast matchups, like Kai'Sa and Annie. It makes the game last 1 or 2 turns longer, which is enough for us to come back into the game when we face these strategies.

Sigil of the Storm delays the opponent. When anyone conquers this battlefield, they have to recycle a rune. As our deck is built to deal with that, conquering this battlefield early on won't be that much of an issue. However, if our opponent can't ramp, they will struggle to stay in the game.

Obelisk of Power is powerful and fits this strategy really well. It speeds up the game considerably, but it also does that for our opponent. As a result, it is not efficient against slower lists that also use Dazzling Aurora. Overall, though, it is a great battlefield.

Main Cards

Early Game

Mobilize is our turn 1 ramp. We must mulligan after it.

Catalyst of Aeons is our turn 2 ramp. It is super straightforward and practical.

We can use Stacked Deck to tutor ramp or Aurora early on.

Mid Game

We can play Mindsplitter in the same curve we play Aurora. But it is a bit expensive. It's simply a statstick, a big unit that doesn't do anything other than be big, but we'll use it more for its effect than its stats. This effect forces the opponent to reveal their hand and then discard a card. It will give us a lot of information, and we might even get to discard win conditions this way.

We can also play Mountain Drake in the same curve we play Dazzling Aurora, but it is a gigantic, vanilla (without any effects), and also just a statstick unit. It will force the opponent to spend many resources to get rid of it.

Deadbloom Predator is another resource we'll use in case we can't find Dazzling Aurora. We can play it on a battlefield the opponent controls and start a showdown straight away. Like so, the opponent will have to either spend their resources or lose control of that battlefield.

End Game

Our main win condition is Dazzling Aurora. Unlike Master Yi lists, this one doesn't perform that well without Aurora, mainly because it doesn't play lots of spells that protect our units. So, try to always mulligan after what you need.

Dazzling Aurora is a gear with a passive effect. At the end of every turn, this card will reveal cards from the top of our deck until it finds a unit. Then, that unit comes into play for free. It's simple and very effective.

The cards we want to get through Aurora are:

Volibear Imposing, a gigantic unit that practically wins the game by himself when he is in play. His stats are a problem to opponents, and they usually need to spend all their resources to deal with him.

Deadbloom Predator is the best card we can get from Aurora. It comes into play and attacks a battlefield the opponent controls straightaway.

Matchups

This deck is great against Kai'Sa, as it was built to beat this type of deck in particular.

However, it struggles a bit against Annie because these lists move quite fast early on and can return our cards to our hand with Rebuke.

It also struggles against Order lists, like Darius and Viktor, which can remove units without necessarily dealing damage to them.

Furthermore, this list will struggle against any bounce effect (anything that returns cards to our hand) and effects that force our cards to return to base. You'll often find these effects in purple and green lists.

The mirror matchup against other Aurora lists is complex, but we have a decent chance. That's because this deck plays many cards that can discard Aurora from the opponent's hand. Nonetheless, if the opponent manages to play an Aurora, and they're playing a Master Yi list, your chances drop significantly. Their list will simply be able to protect their units a lot better and give them free stats with their Legend's effect.

Important Tips and Sideboard

One famous strategy in this list is "Kamikaze Deadbloom". You'll play Deadbloom Predator in a battlefield your opponent controls and basically set it up to die. This way, your opponent will have to spend resources and answer your attack. You practically won't have to spend anything as you do this.

Play Invert Timelines to discard cards from the opponent's hand. This card can save your match, even if you end up losing a few units in the process.

Primal Strength is the only card in your deck that protects your units and gives them extra Might. Use 3 against Master Yi lists and other Aurora lists.

Use Sabotage to discard enemy win conditions. Against Aurora lists, you can play 2 copies of Sabotage in the main deck.

Use 2 Rebuke against Aurora lists. The same goes for Fading Memories and Possession.

Rebuke is the strongest purple card against your strategy. Against Annie, try to discard this card with Sabotage.

Ride the Wind is one of your main combo resources. Use it to control the board, save your units, or set up multiple attacks in a row.

Use Gust to kick out units like Ravenbloom Student from an enemy battlefield early on.

Fight or Flight is versatile. It can both protect your units and disrupt the enemy defenses when you attack.

Bullet Time is one of the best "AoE" removals in the entire game. However, don't use it before you put Aurora in play.
