This deck didn't change much. Charizard ex's League Battle Deck already includes all the cards you need to play it in Standard. However, this version plays Budew PRE 4 from the new set, among others. It lets you control your opponent, as it prevents them from playing items.

To make Charizard ex's evolution line even more consistent and play around Technical Machine: Devolution sv4 177, this deck also plays Rabsca TEF 24, whose ability protects it from effects of attacks.

Furthermore, this deck plays Dusclops SFA 19 and Dusknoir SFA 20 so you can deal even more damage early on with Charizard ex. With them, your opponent will also draw less Prize cards.

Upgraded Lugia VStar

This deck still uses the same game plan, with attackers like Cinccino TEF 137, which uses special energies to deal even more damage, Snorlax LOR 143, as a Single Prize attacker, and Iron Hands ex PRE 31, to deal with small enemy Pokémon.

The biggest addition is Regigigas PRE 86, which can deal up to 330 damage. It is a great answer to your opponent's Terastal Pokémon ex.

Lucario ex

This is an excellent Fighting archetype. It is perfect to face the current meta, as it is full of Electric Pokémon like Iron Hands ex PRE 31 and Iron Thorns ex PRE 32.

You don't need many energies for Lucario ex PRE 51, so you'll be able to attack with it rather quickly. It also deals a lot of damage constantly, as well as quite efficient overall.

Until the April 2025 rotation, we'll be able to use Lucario BRS 79 to get the energies we need. It lets us get a Basic Fighting Energy sv1 258 from our deck and attach them to Lucario ex PRE 51 with Energy Switch sv1 173.

Tyranitar ex

Tyranitar ex PRE 64 stands out because of Grind, its attack, which only costs one colorless energy and deals 50 damage for each energy attached to this Pokémon.

To make the most out of it, this deck plays one of the best energy Pokémon in the entire game, Baxcalibur sv2 60. Its ability, Super Cold (similar to the iconic Rain Dance), lets you attach Basic Water Energy sv2 279 in your hand to your Pokémon as much as you want. This way, your Tyranitar ex PRE 64 can deal up to 400 damage in the best-case scenario!

Furthermore, this deck also plays Iron Hands ex PRE 31, whose attack, Amp You Very Much, is perfect to deal with your opponent's Single Prize attacker. You'll easily get the energies you need to attack with it with the Basic Water Energy sv2 279/Luminous Energy TWM 226 combo.

Baxcalibur sv2 60 also lets you use other efficient attackers, like Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex PRE 27, Lumineon V PR-SW SWSH250, Fezandipiti ex SFA 38, and even Mew ex sv3pt5 151, which copies attacks.

Eeveelutions ex - Kanto

The best Pokémon in this set are eeveelutions, which are the star of this list. The main idea is to use Kanto eeveelutions as the main attackers because their attacks cost the same number of Fire, Water, and Electric energies.

Each eeveelution stands out against a certain Pokémon type: Jolteon ex is great against Water Pokémon, Flareon ex stands out against Grass Pokémon (like Teal Mask Ogerpon ex and Hydrapple ex), and Vaporeon ex is great against Fire Pokémon, like Ceruledge ex.

Upgraded Snorlax “Control”

This deck is already quite popular in Standard and now plays two new cards: Roto-Stick PRE 127, which draws Supporters for you and, as such, is even better than Pokégear 3.0, and Budew PRE 4, which prevents your opponent from playing Items. They're both perfect for this control strategy.
